Electrical and Electronics Engineering

Electrical and Electronics Engineering is one of the core branches of Engineering studies started as Electrical Engineering. Most of the branches like Electronics and Communication Engineering, Computer Science and Engineering, Applied Electronics, Electronics and Instrumentation, Information Technology have been emerged as specialization from Electrical Engineering. However, with the wide applications of Electronics in controlling and protecting the Electrical equipments and systems, the course has been renamed as Electrical and Electronics Engineering. The major thrust in this course is related to the basic principles and detailed analysis of different types of equipments and systems for generation, transmission, distribution and utilization of Electrical Energy. The course also covers the study of electronic devices and circuits involved in measurement, instrumentation, control and protection of electrical equipments and conversion systems. Concept of computer and recent applications of computer based systems in design, analysis and efficient operation of power system, maintaining quality and security, also included in the course. During the B.Tech programme, the electrical engineers develop analytical skills. Electrical circuits are simulated and computed using computer knowledge. COMPUTER SCIENCE ENGINEERING

The computer industry is one of the fastest growing segments of economy and that growth promises to continue well into the next century. To maintain a competitive edge, industry and commerce must continue to make creative scientific and engineering advances as well as produce high quality products. More than ever, there is a demand for a prepared work force with the scientific and technical training necessary for performing effectively in the job. Now is the time for a student to plan his/her future in computing. Computer science (or computing science) is the study and the science of the theoretical foundations of information and computation and their implementation and application in computer systems. The B.Tech Programme in the branch of Computer Science & Engineering is designed to meet the needs of the industry in various areas where computing/processing power is required. There is hardly any application where the advantage of computerised processing is not utilised. Hence, the opportunities for employment are always on the rise.

The  B.Tech. programme in Information Technology focuses on programming, software engineering and development methodologies while providing a broad-based coverage of relevant subjects including networks and the Internet, databases, artificial intelligence, Network security, multimedia, computer graphics, human factors and user interface design.

It is designed for those with the background in science or engineering, but does not require any previous experience in computers and IT. However a route is provided for candidates with good background in computing.

To render flexibility to students moving into a new discipline, the first semester is shared with the B.Tech. in the workshop of IT. Information Technology Engineering:

In this article, we will have an in-depth analysis of B.Tech. Information Technology course. IT (Information Technology) is a relatively new Engineering branch. Despite its late entry, it quickly became popular among students and used to create numerous job opportunities with decent pay packages! But with recession, the reputation of this Engineering Branch took a dent. Still, if pursued from a reputed Institute, IT Engineering is a valuable course. In this article, I will provide information about B.Tech. Information Technology program such as- basic course details, course duration, eligibility criteria, important subjects present, scope and job opportunities.

Students who have an interest in web and internet technology, database management may pursue this course. Students may also go for IT course, but B.Tech. Degree is more valuable that B.Sc. Degree.
